The easing of lockdown restrictions last month, provided the opportunity to bring the whole team at HFR together for a company conference and social event.
The morning conference was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne. Sam Whitehouse, CEO and Stuart Penny, Operations Director shared their vision for the year ahead, welcomed the new employees into the team and thanked everyone for their commitment to the business over the last 12 months. The senior managers shared information around projects, R&D, finance and quality and the morning concluded with a team challenge – who could build the tallest tower out of paper straws and support the weight of two eggs!
The afternoon event at Revolucion du Cuba allowed for ‘COVID safe’ socialising and provided a long-overdue opportunity for networking amongst the team.
Dr Sam Whitehouse, CEO said:
“It is great to be able to once again bring all the team together and share our vision for the future of the company and share ideas across our teams. The challenges of working throughout Covid restrictions have been numerous, but the team at High Force Research have not stopped as we deliver for our customers who play a key role in the manufacture of drugs, diagnostics and sequencing industries. It is a great day for the team to celebrate their hard work”
