Vacancy Full Description High Force Research (HFR) is a chemistry orientated service provider offering a partnership approach to quality driven chemical innovation. Established in 1988, we have built a solid reputation recognised for our R&D flexibility and innovative approach to complex and challenging projects.

Our core expertise is in chemical research and development, process optimisation, route design, scale-up and GMP manufacture of small molecules for clinical study. We collaborate with multinationals, start-ups, and discovery groups across academia and industry in synthesising new materials for proof of concept studies. Operating predominantly in the life sciences sector, our interests include pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, synthetic biology, diagnostics and imaging, however, work also extends into other sectors e.g. polymers, semiconductors and fine chemicals.

With planned growth and succession planning into 2022, we are looking for an individual to join our logistics and dispatch department, to ensure the smooth dispatch and delivery of manufactured products, along with managing stock, invoicing and general office duties.

This will be achieved by processing orders and overseeing the cycle of order fulfilment. In addition, you will be responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery system efficiently and safely.

You’ll build relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers, customers and colleagues. You’ll be encouraged to attend key professional development events so that your skills are continually refreshed, adding value to all of the projects you work on.

 

 


 Candidate Details
Role Details Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.

Facilitate the shipping of products, arranging transportation and orchestrating deliveries to meet customer demand.

Receives products and coordinates delivery.

Prepares loads for shipment.

Oversees inventory of goods and ensures stock levels are kept at optimal levels.

Produce and issue invoices for work completed.

Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible.

Streamlines shipping and transportation processes.

Ensures premises and equipment are maintained.

Takes steps to avoid quality control issues.

Provides critical and professional input into the HFR Quality System.

Provides office administration support.

Experience Experience in logistics and/or business administration

Problem solving skills and decision-making ability

Understanding of quality management principles

Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements

Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes

IT literate with a working knowledge of logistics software

Outstanding organisational and coordination abilities with the ability to prioritise

Attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Talent for recognising the opportunities for process improvement

Certified to approve shipment of hazardous materials by air (DDG) preferred

Qualification in business administration, supply chain management, chemistry or relevant field preferred

Relevant experience may substitute for education
