Originally based at Durham University Science Park, we relocated in 1996 to purpose built laboratories of 11,000 sq ft in nearby Bowburn.
The extended laboratory facilities include 24 fume cupboards ( standard 2 metre and "walk in" ).
There are two segregated laboratories, which are isolated for specialised or aggressive chemistry.
The purpose designed cGMP suite has an independent air handling system, with HEPA filters on input and output, and has been designed to enable the safe handling of cytotoxics or other toxic compounds.
Specialised equipment includes:
- Stainless steel (2 litre and 7.5 litre) autoclaves for high pressure reactions.
- Glass (1 litre and 5 litre ) pressure vessels.
- Biotage pumped chromatography systems for purification
- Two automated laboratory reactors for fine control and data logging of reaction parameters.
We have a full range of analytical equipment for in-process analysis and quality control.
